Job Description Java Software Engineer As a Java Engineer you will support and enhance a portfolio of REST APIs and a Couchbase shopping cache that enable online travel agencies to build new air shopping experiences, including sub-second inspirational and theme shopping, as well as intelligence services that help end consumers make more informed choices. The developer will be responsible for rearchitecting/deploying the APIs and cache services onto Sabre’s Next Generation Platform/Microservices model. Scalability will be a key tenant of success. Agile development practices will be followed. RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop and test high-throughput and critical services supporting web services exposed by Sabre Provide day-to-day help to the teams using the systems Develop team-internal applications and tools supporting team’s processes Software Design: understands standard software modeling techniques used to describe system designs; designs components of larger software systems; utilizes existing system components that can be leveraged by multiple applications; understands capabilities of environment.
